Jess & Andrew's Pre-wed shoot in the Cotswolds

on Thursday, 05 September 2013.

Well not too long back I received an email from a lovely sounding Australian couple who wanted to get married at the amazing Lords of the Manor Hotel in Upper Slaughter - the Cotswolds district and only a stones throw from the spar town of Cheltenham.

We met at their rather prestigious venue over the most delish coffee in the drawing room. I arrived early and always keen to take a picture, photographed the lovely posies of wild roses that adorned my chess board coffee table :)

Jess and Andrew's Pre Wedding Shoot

Within 5 seconds of me putting out my coffee Jess and Andrew walked in and with the three of us, being Antipodeans greeted each other in true Southern Hemispherian style with "Guddays" all round. After sitting, chatting, drinking more fine coffee and listening to up and coming plans for their big day we decided, seeing as the rain had now stopped, we should head out and take some rather informal pics before it chucked it down again.

Jess & Andrew's Pre-Wed Shoot

These guys are so loved up and were totally at home in front of the camera. My motto has always been "Capture the Love" and it was easy peasy with the two of them. Even with Andrew being so laid back, he's horizontal (so like myself) I can see him being a calming influence on the day. As for Jess, her eyes just sparkle when she looks at Andrew and this combination of love and sparkly eyes makes for some great shots.

Jess and Andrew

We were having so much fun exploring the gardens we did not realise at first that it had started drizzling. Once the sound of distant thunder sounded we thought we should head back for more coffee and look at the images that I had taken.

Well Jess and Andrew are getting married this Saturday and I am so happy to have been asked to share and to photograph their day for them. I really cant wait!

Even though I know with two Australian families there, and me being a Kiwi....... I'm in for a day of micky taking :)
